Altar Server Training

Altar server training for new altar servers will begin on Sunday September 14, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. immediately after the 8:30 Mass.  Altar server trainees and parents will meet in the new church September 14, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. for server orientation.  If the altar server trainee is in CCD classes they will report directly to the church for altar server orientation for that Sunday only.  Your CCD instructors will be informed of your attendance.  Arrangements have been made with the CCD director and teachers.  The training classes will be held on Saturday October 4, 11, and 18, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the church. Altar server trainees must attend Saturday training classes.  Saturday, October 25, 2008 – 8:30 to 10:30 will be for training wrap up and review for all servers.  All altar servers are encouraged to attend on October 25, 2008 because immediately after the class we will have our ANNUAL PIZZA PARTY for all the servers.  Sunday November 2, 2008 at the 11:00 a.m. Mass we will recognize our new altar server graduates and announce the new senior servers.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

Do you want to learn more about the Catholic faith?
Are you interested in becoming a member of the Catholic Church?
Are you Catholic, but have not yet received one of the Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation)?
If you answered “yes” to any of the above, you may want to consider joining us for RCIA meetings beginning Wednesday, September 3 at 7:00 PM in Hanly Hall.  We will meet for about 2 hours every Wednesday evening throughout the Fall and Spring semesters.  The year culminates in the great celebration of the initiation sacraments at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday.
We will have sign ups after Masses on the weekends of August 23-24 and August 30-31.

Our Lady of the Angels Convent Retreats
For all Catechists, you are invited to a retreat on the theme for Catechetical Sunday “Encountering the Living Word - in the Life of the Church & in the Mission of the Church”. Yard Work

Join us on Saturdays for yard work at 8:00 AM, all are welcome. We will be meeting every Saturday morning to work on the Church grounds. Please come and help.

Marriage Preparation

Please contact the parish office at 762-5225 a minimum of 9 months in advance. Do not finalize our wedding plans until you have met with Fr. O'Connor.

Senior Lunch

We will get together for covered dish lunch on Thursday, September 18th at 12 noon in Hanly Hall.
